Emmy Award and SAG Award winner Joe Morton is a seasoned actor of stage, television, and film. He plays the beloved mentor, Monsignor Gregory Heck, in Trinity’s Triumph and was an inspiration to the entire cast. Joe is widely known for his role as Eli Pope in the award winning TV show, Scandal as well as Reverend Arthur Finer in the television series, God Friended Me. In addition to his film and television work, Joe has appeared on Broadway and daytime television soaps. Recently, Joe narrated The Water Dancer by Ta-Nehisi Coates for Audible.com.
Young Mazino is a Korean-American actor, who portrays Father Tom Kim in the film, Trinity’s Triumph. Father Tom finds himself in an impossible situation , when he must choose between his love of the priesthood and his love for Annie Martinez. In 2014, Young moved to NYC to seriously pursue acting. After working on indie shorts and student films, he attended the Stella Adler Studio of Acting in 2017 and trained in theater for a year. In 2018, Young made it to final callbacks in the ABC Showcase. In 2019, he made final callbacks for the Yale School of Drama acting program. Recently, he guest-starred in Blue Bloods (2019) and Prodigal Son (2020). Young has also been nominated for an Emmy Award as Best Supporting Actor for his role as Paul Cho in Beef.
Joshua Wills, a New York based actor, plays the role of Father Joe in Trinity’s Triumph. Father Joe is conflicted, struggling to follow his call to serve God, while dealing with how lonely that can feel without a family of his own. Joshua has lived in NY for over a decade, working with various projects on stage and screen. Most recently, he can be seen in television appearances on Mindhunter, WeCrashed, and Blue Bloods. For the past five years, Joshua has been a member of Blue Man Group, performingin New York, Las Vegas, Boston, as well as the National and World tours.
Adriel Irizarry, a Chicago born actor of Puerto Rican and Colombian descent, is a dynamic actor, whose training at The American Musical & Dramatic Academy in both LA and NYC began his journey as a performer. The Chicago based actor spent his early days in New York City training and auditioning, where he got his first big opportunity as a lead in Trinity’s Triumph in 2019. After living and working in New York City, he made the move to Chicago, where he continues to live and work as an actor. He has found a great collaborative artist community, especially in the Latiné community of Chicago. His work is heavily influenced and a reflection of the people and communities he’s been privy to, which he has so affectionately observed throughout his life.
Narci Regina plays Maddie Martinez, the wife of Mike Martinez. She and Mike unexpectedly find themselves battling Mike’s demons of the past in Trinity’s Triumph. Ultimately, Monsignor Heck finds the right help for them.
Narci is an award-winning dramatic actress, with a strong comedic flare. Before pursuing acting, she received a M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology in Brooklyn, New York. However, her desire for the arts led her to change professions and train to be a professional actor. Her most recent credits include guest star roles on The Equalizer (CBS), Law & Order: SVU (NBC) and FBI (CBS). She can also be seen co-starring in Blue Bloods (CBS), M. Night Shyamalan’s Servant, for Apple TV + and Alternatino on Comedy Central. She made her feature film debut, 21 Bridges, starring Chadwick Boseman.
Narci has written, produced, and performed in several plays and short films, including the original one-act production, This Is Family and the award-winning short film, Reasons. Her self-produced short film, Reasons, has appeared and received awards in several festivals, including American Black Film Festival, LA & NYC Shorts International Film Festivals, Pan African Film Festival, Martha’s Vineyard African Film Festival, BronzeLens Film Festival, and Denton Black Film Festival.
Melissa Bolona plays the role of Annie Martinez, the sister of Mike Martinez and the love interest of Father Tom Kim in the film, Trinity’s Triumph. Her character has no intention of disrupting Father Tom’s vocation in life. The choice ultimately lies with Father Tom. Boloña’s acting debut was in the movies of the week Grace of God and The Saint. In the summer of 2015, she had her feature film debut as the supporting female lead in the theatrical release of In Stereo. She has continued her acting career regularly appearing in films such as The Hurricane Heist, Mara, The Final Wish, and Becoming. Boloña has modeled for numerous magazines. She became a model for Beach Bunny Swimwear in 2013 after beating out 20,000 others in a model search. She appeared in campaigns for the brand, which were shot alongside Irina Shayk. She has appeared on numerous magazine covers, most recently for Vanidades.
Father Stephen originated the concept for Trinity’s Triumph and co-authored the script with Kathe Carson and Michael Wickham. Stephen treasures the professional input of Franco Zeffirelli and Mary Higgins Clark as the script was being developed. He is the author of three sociological books, a Research Associate for the Center for Applied Research in the Apostolate at Georgetown, and has taught at the Graduate School for Religion and Religious Education at Fordham and at the Immaculate Conception Seminary at Seton Hall. He did most of his priestly training in Europe, where he received Master’s degrees in Philosophy and Theology. Upon his return to the United States in 2000, he obtained a third Master’s in Social Work from Fordham, and then a Ph.D. in Sociology from Rutgers. He is the pastor at Saint Elizabeth of Hungary Church in Wyckoff and the Episcopal Vicar of Education for the Archdiocese of Newark.
Kathe Carson has produced television and radio commercials and videos for major New York ad agencies and retailers as well as free-lance projects for her own clients for over 40 years. Trinity’s Triumph is her first feature film, which she co-authored with longtime collaborator, Father Stephen Fichter. Currently, she is the Director of Communications for Saint Elizabeth of Hungary Parish in Wyckoff, New Jersey. Kathe has a BA in Fine Arts, an MA in Television Production, and an MBA in Marketing.
Thomas, an attorney in New York, has produced award winning independent feature films entitled BuzzKill (Indican 2012), with Darrell Hammond and Krysten Ritter, winner, Best Feature Film at the 2008 New Jersey Film Festival at Cape May and Best Feature Comedy and Best Director at the 2009 Big Easy Film Festival; A Novel Romance (Entertainment One/New Films International 2012), with Steve Guttenberg and Shannon Elizabeth; and Swing Away (Freestyle Releasing 2015) with Shannon Elizabeth and John O’Hurley. His most recent film Trinity’s Triumph (Quiver 2023) with Joe Morton and Young Mazino is expected to be released in 2023. Currently, he has several feature films and television projects in development.He has also produced the highly successful Off-Broadway shows, Pieces (of ass), and Off- Broadway’s Voyage of the Carcass. He has also worked producing/developing several television projects for Steven Van Zandt’s company, Renegade Nation. Thomas is also the co-founder of the successful SOMA Film Festival, now enjoying it’s eighth year of consistent growth.
Michael J. Wickham is a writer, director, and producer whose passion for storytelling began with an Emmy Award-winning career in journalism. Born and raised in New Jersey, Michael attended college in Upstate New York, where he worked as a news videographer and editor for eight years before moving to Los Angeles in 2012. There, he has produced dozens of independent films, shorts, web series, and commercial videos. He has directed award-winning short films and written a number of screenplays. Trinity’s Triumph is his feature directorial debut.
